They are saddled with characters that don't even have enough to them to be half-formed and are again lazy stereotypes. The rest of the cast are all indifferent and are not engaging at all. Even though one can tell still that even he knew that the film was not good and shouldn't have been made. The only halfway decent thing about 'Taken 3' is Liam Neeson, who at least tries and is charismatic and brooding enough. It makes all the mistakes pretty much of 'Taken 2' and amplifies them and makes more on the way. Seeing it, 'Taken 3' not only was not necessary, even if not quite among the worst sequels ever (definitely to me one of the most pointless), and indicative of that it was a good thing it was the last 'Taken' film (from my underwhelming) but it also has very little to recommend it. Was worried that 'Taken 3' would be a sequel too far and that it wasn't needed, even if it still had enough to make it semi-watchable. If not then, as Neeson indicated, this installment should bring some sense of closure to the Taken movie franchise. Oscar-winner Forest Whitaker costars in Taken 3 as the "law enforcement agent" who starts out tracking down Mills it's pretty familiar territory for the lauded actor (see his roles in Phone Booth, The Last Stand), much as the seasoned badass role is for Neeson. A Tak3n website proclaims the movie's tagline to be "He's out of retirement for one last time" be that accurate or not, Neeson has indeed said that "It's a rollicking good story, but I think this is the end." By the sound of it, the third Taken movie will be in the same vein as the previous installments - which is to say, it will feature an action-driven B-movie narrative that has a pronounced social/political commentary subtext. Taken 3, like its predecessors, was scripted by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen. Bryan Mills served his country faithfully, but now even they are after him.
